LicenSys is an Australian company that was established in 1955 when it won its first major contract to supply license plates. Progressively it has evolved to include a wide range of products, transactions and services which has lead to LicenSys becoming recognised as the world's third largest supplier in a highly specialised global industry.

Licensys has applied its specialised skills and experience in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United States of America, The Americas and Southern Africa. LicenSys is also actively involved with Strategic and Technical Partners in Europe and North America.

Approach and Strategy

Many of our Government customers around the world are facing increased fiscal pressure to reduce budget expenditure while extending services and performance levels. LicenSys aims to provide highly efficient integrated solutions to solve these ever increasing issues. With the global change in the security environment vehicle identification and plate authentication become an increasing issue for all jurisdictions. Licensys is leading the global development of systems that will effectively resolve these issues.

LicenSys always endeavours to establish a strong relationship and work collaboratively with Government Departments, Law Enforcement Agencies and Strategic Partners. This has lead to many successful implementations of integrated total solutions that manage license plate, Registration and Licensing(R&L) processes and systems across the whole product life cycle. The approach encompasses three broad areas of application

• Developed integrated and state-of-the-art lean manufacturing, supply, distribution and business solutions. For example our Plate Management System Software platform, which controls the entire process from order receipt through manufacture, storage, despatch, distribution, inventory control and reporting, is key to our operational functionality. It can be linked directly on line to our customer's business to minimise their administration costs through automated ordering and inventory control
   
• LicenSys offers a full range of marketing services which can add value within a Government operated Special Plate marketing program. These services include specialised market research, design and implementation of channel activities, pricing strategies and ongoing product life cycle consulting. Currently we are successfully managing in a State in Australia, the complete outsourced special plate marketing program which includes the full suite of specialised marketing activities.
   
• A significant proportion of LicenSys revenue is dedicated to Research and Development (R&D). The R&D focus has two main streams. One is to continually improve the range of products, transactions and services to our customers resulting in increased efficiency, cost reduction and increased customer service levels. The second focus is to develop a capability in emerging technologies, particularly with regard to vehicle identification, license plate security and authentication systems. This technology applies to centralised and decentralised Registration and Licensing systems and provides a higher level of trust in the issuance and management of vehicle identification and registration.  
  
  
  • Licensys is currently leading a consortium which is managing the the world's first implementation of a low cost electronic security device on a license plate that cannot be copied or cloned. This is a major breakthrough in developing a vehicle identification system that can be trusted. LicenSys has developed the full software systems and all specialised machinery in this project.

These solutions satisfy the changing needs by developing seamless integrated systems that provide efficient, cost effective products and processes, and increase revenue opportunities.
