To establish high levels of trust in the identification of vehicles there has to be authentication throughout the whole supply process of the license plate as illustrated in the diagram "Secure Sequence of Vehicle Identification".  

 While this is a new concept to the number plate industry, LicenSys has been a leader in researching and developing such products and solutions for almost a decade. As electronic vehicle identification, or EVI, becomes wide spread in applications such as tolling, LicenSys has now introduced electronic vehicle identification using a low cost security device integrated into the traditional vehicle identifiers such as the license plate, the registration label and the vehicle registration documents. The highest level of Trust in electronic vehicle identification is achieved through the Trust Triangle Concept.
 

 LicenSys has the capability of designing and supplying a customised range of identification solutions varying from the very simple to more complex based on plates, labels and registration documents suited to each application and the Authority's needs. These solutions can be used to further validate data from other existing vehicle identification systems such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition.

Our capabilities extend into security system design which includes Plate Trust Centres that support secure manufacture and issuance in both centralised and decentralised markets. The system allows for stationary enforcement by hand held readers as well as the ability to identify and authenticate vehicles as they drive past.
